For now on you have to login with your BUAS e-mail address on your laptop and all the BUAS services.

Remove NHTV e-mail from smartphone

Android
• Main Apps Menu > Settings > ACCOUNTS
• Tap the NHTV account
• Next screen should say 'Sync settings' in the upper left of the navigation bar.
• Tap the button in the top right corner ("More" or 3 dots).
• Choose "Remove account"

iPhone
• From the home screen, tap Settings.
• Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
• Tap the Exchange or other email account to remove.
• Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
• Tap Delete from My iPhone to confirm.

Windows Phone
• Tap Settings.
• Tap E-mail and accounts.
• Hold down "NHTV Account".
• Choose Delete and choose Delete again.

Connect your BUAS E-mail/Calendar to your Android

Before you start make sure all existing NHTV mail accounts are removed!

• Tap Settings > Accounts > Add account > Microsoft Exchange Active Sync
• Tap Manual setup
• E-mail address: youremailaddress@BUAS.nl
(example: Jansen.A@BUAS.nl)
• Password: Your BUAS Password **if asked**
• Server address: outlook.office365.com
• Domain/Username: youremailaddress@BUAS.nl
(example: Jansen.A@BUAS.nl)
• Password: Your BUAS password
• Make sure the Use secure connection (SSL)checkbox is checked, tap Next.
• Once validated, select the items you want to sync. Tap Save when done.
• Tap Done.

Connect your BUAS E-mail/Calendar to your iPhone

Before you start make sure all existing NHTV mail accounts are removed!

• Go to “Settings” > “Mail, Contacts, Agenda”.
• Click on “Add account”.
• Choose “Exchange”.
• Type your email address YourEmailaddress@BUAS.nl and Password.
• Description: BUAS
• Server: outlook.office365.com
• Domain: LEAVE THIS FIELD EMPTY
• Username: Example Jansen.A@BUAS.nl
• Password: Your BUAS password
• Tap “Next”.

• Once validated, select the items you want to sync. Tap Save when done.

• Swipe to the left at the home screen to go to the App list.
• Tap Settings
• Tap email + Accounts
• Tap add an account
• Tap Exchange
• Enter your BUAS login information:

• Tap Sign in

• Username: Example Jansen.A@BUAS.nl
• Server: outlook.office365.com

How to clean up your folders

What is going on?

During the conversion of all e-mail addresses to the BUAS addresses, the most recent e-mails from your archive mailbox have ended up in your regular Inbox. As a result, you may now see additional folders in your Inbox that were previously in your archive mailbox.

All e-mails younger than two years can be found in these folders in your regular Inbox, instead of in your archive mailbox.
All e-mails older than two years can be found in your archive mailbox.

In addition, it is possible that from the name change you can see each folder in two languages ​​(English and Dutch).

What can you do?

You can transfer the folders from your own mailbox to your archive mailbox as required using the following procedure. If you do not mind that the archive folders are in your regular mailbox, you can leave them there. Mails older than two years are automatically transferred to your archive mailbox.

In addition, in the case of the double folders (English and Dutch) you can choose which folder you want to keep and move the other e-mail here.

1. Open the mailbox in Outlook (on your laptop or in Citrix, not the Online version via the portal).

2. Move folders
You can move a folder by 'dragging'. Click the folder and keep the mouse pressed. Drag the folder to any folder you want. Please note that all e-mails under the deleted items are automatically deleted after 60 days. Do not just drop a folder here!



Click on the name and 'drag' until you see a black line where you want the folder.

3. Move e-mails
If e-mails have ended up in a folder where they do not belong, you can select them and move them to a different desired folder.
You can select multiple e-mails at once by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on the e-mails.
If you want to move all e-mails at once, you can select everything with Ctrl + A.



Right-click on the selected e-mail(s) and choose 'Move' - 'Other folder'.



Select the desired folder and click on 'OK'.

4. Delete folders
You can delete a folder by right-clicking on the folder and choosing 'delete folder'.
If there are e-mails in the folder, they are moved as separate e-mails to Deleted items or Deleted items. These e-mails are automatically deleted after 90 days.

Note: If the option to delete a folder is not available then this folder is required to keep Outlook running. So you can not delete it.

Share Outlook Calendar (in Web Version)

1. Click the Office 365 menu in your Portal in the upper left corner.

2. Open "Outlook" online.


3. Go to your calendar.

4. Click "Share" > "Calendar".

5. Change the settings for "My Organization" to "Can view titles and locations."

6. Meetings that require confidentiality can be marked "Private".

Share Outlook Calendar (in Desktop Version)

1. Go to your calendar in Outlook.
2. Click in the "Home" ribbon on "Calendar Permissions".
3. Change the Permission level to "Free/Busy time, subject, location", click "Apply" and "OK".



4. When scheduling a meeting you can now see where your colleagues are.


5. Meetings that require confidentiality can be marked "Private"

What to do if your contacts are wrongly linked in outlook

In some cases your contacts have been linked to each other after the migration.  

An example of this is when you create a new mail and you type a name of a recipient but the autocomplete gives you a different contact. 

Example :  
This is because contacts who did not have a mail address during the migration automatically got the mail address “nomail@nodomain.com”, the result is that all contacts with the same email address are linked to each other.

This can be solved by executing the following steps:

1. Open outlook 2. Go to “contacts” (“contactpersonen” in Dutch) 3. Search for contacts by using the search term “nomail” 4. Select a contact, click on the 3 dots and choose “link contacts” (“contactpersonen koppelen” in Dutch) 5. Remove all contacts with a name that is different from the selected contact 6. Close the “linked contacts for….” (“gekoppelde contactpersonen voor…” in Dutch) Window

7. Select a contact, right click and choose "edit contact" (“contactpersoon bewerken” in Dutch) 8. Remove the email “nomail@nodomain.com” from the contact 9. It's possible that the email address is under email 2 or email 3 Repeat steps 7, 8 and 9 until there are no more contacts with the email address “nomail@nodomain.com”.

Removing the linked contacts (gekoppelde contacten) from 1 contact also automatically disconnects the contact from the other contacts.

How do I add a shared mailbox in OWA (Web Version)

  • Go to MyPortal.
  • Click on the waffle.
  • Open Outlook.
  • Right-click your name (old version) or Folders (new version).
  • Click on "Add shared folder".
  • Type the name of the shared mailbox.
  • Click on "Add".
  • The mailbox will now appear in your folderlist.

How to add users to a Shared Mailbox or Distribution List
(for owners)?

1. In Citrix go to Start > All Programs > BUas@Work >
General > "Manage Mailboxes" or "Manage distribution lists".

2. Double click on the relevant mailbox or distribution list.

3. Click on "Add".

4. Type the name of the user you want to add, click on "Check Names" and "OK" (if the correct name is displayed).

5. Click on "Apply" and "OK".

6. You can now close the window

Deleting is done in the same way, only you have to choose "Remove" (after highlighted the user you want to delete) in
step 3 and you can skip step 4.

It can take up to 3 hours for the change to take effect.

Add your roster to Outlook manually

  • Go to mytimetable.buas.nl

  • Click on "+ Add timetable" and choose "Staff member" under the correct academic year.


  • Search for your teacher code, be sure that the option "Synchronise these timetables with my connected calendar applications" is turned on and click on "Add timetables".


  • Click the button "Connect calendar" and choose "Microsoft Outlook"


  • Click the button Next

  • Copy the URL from the text box using the copy button

  • Open Microsoft Outlook.

  • Go to calendar view by clicking the button Calendar Button in the bottom left of the screen.

  • Click Open calendar and From internet.


  • Paste the URL you just copied into the text box and click "OK".


  • Click Yes to add the internet calendar to Outlook.

Outlook setup first time use

• Open Outlook from the start menu.
• Enter your email address and click on "Connect".
• Uncheck the "Set up Outlook Mobile on my Phone too".
• Click on "Done".
• Click on "Sign in", enter your email address and password.
• Click on "Next", "Yes" and "Done".

It may take a few seconds if this is the first time you set up Outlook, so please be patient.

How do I add a shared mailbox in Outlook

Only needed for colleagues' mailboxes, group mailboxes automatically appear in your Outlook.

• Open Microsoft Outlook.
• Click File tab in the Toolbar.
• Click Account Settings button, select Account Settings.
• Highlight your mailbox, click the Change button.
• Click the More Settings button.
• Select the Advance tab.
• Click the Add button.
• Type the colleagues' last name / E-Mail Address.
• Click the Apply and Ok buttons.
• Click Next, Finish and Close buttons.
